for my hub motors (ordered more than 2 months ago from CarvOn) and VESC (ordered more than 1 month ago from OllinBoard), I started working on my first DIY electric longboard. This is a long 42" Rayne Supreme. The 10S4P battery and VESC enclosure is big too. The concave and drop is leaving a big gap between the enclosure and the deck, which would be filled up by a foam strip. I am trimming the front kick so that this would-be-heavy board could be pulled along like a piece of luggage should I get tired of hand carrying. I am drilling holes from the top instead of from the bottom of the deck so that the screws are perfectly lined up when viewed from the top. (I do not have a drill press and I won't get perfect vertical holes using a hand drill.) I will add the foam strip and test screwing the enclosure on the deck next week. After that, put the grip tape on.
