Time was getting late yesterday evening (11PM) when I suddenly had this urge of waterproofing an electric for riding in the snow and rain today. I didn't want to spend the time taking everything apart and as such, treatment was done only externally. I had this idea of waterproofing my electric a long time ago and I had this special spray with me for a while. To be on the save side, the older E-Go was chosen. I took this opportunity to replace the drive belt as well. The belt was 2 years old, full of dust but otherwise looked exceptionally intact Basically, I flooded every holes I could find or guess: motor, cable inlet and joint, charging port, power switch, LED, and USB port. Kind of messy! The coating was kind of oily and yellowish. For extra protection, I put some tape on the joint between the battery and control compartments, LED, charging port etc. Will it work? Who knows! Corrosion takes time to develop and if the board died one day, I will still be unsure of the cause.
